n mid-2016, two siblings did a video call to discuss an idea. Puzzled at the lack of online opportunity for home-based jobs, Meredith Wuori was looking for a way to use her education and project management skills while still taking care of her two kids. At the same time, her brother Jamon Holmgren had a few small business website clients that his web and mobile app development company, Infinite Red, had outgrown. He needed someone he could trust to take over the accounts.
Their discussion sparked an idea that grew into Creative Purple.
Create high quality and affordable small business websites and help the community by providing remote work training and opportunity for stay-at-home parents, retirees, disabled people, and others who don’t otherwise have an opportunity to learn and work in web design and development.
Jamon uses his decade in software development and experience owning and operating a high-end website and mobile app development company to help Meredith build the business and avoid pitfalls. Meredith’s project management background helps her with operations and client relationships. And a large network of professional software developers and designers provide advice and help along the way.
While Creative Purple is still young, the early results have been fantastic. Listen to what our clients are saying:
“In the spring of 2016 we began the search for someone to build our new website. We looked at several different firms and weighed our options carefully. The proposal that was put forward by Creative Purple was the most compelling. From it a clear path to completion was laid out, including a timeline that was actually followed through the build. The pricing was very competitive as well.
We can’t say enough about the professional and thoroughly organized fashion in which the Creative Purple team handled the build of our site. They were helpful in every aspect of planning and creating. They were also very patient with us as we attempted to communicate our vision and needs for the site.
Thank you Creative Purple for your professionalism, technical knowledge, artistic eye, attention to detail and great customer service. We will recommend you to everyone.”
Not only our clients are happy so far. Here’s what our first developer trainee, Brenna, had to say:
“Learning how to build wordpress websites has been an adventure, and I have been loving it! The flexibility of being able to work while the kids are napping or playing is something I have always dreamed of. I have two young girls and they keep me on my toes, so being able to work around their schedules is perfect. Meredith and the Creative Purple team have been so helpful, and have taught me everything I know. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and eager to continue learning more!”
